The San Francisco Sea Scouts invite interested youth to attend a special day of free sailing and outrigger canoeing. No previous boating experience required, just show up, dress warmly and get ready for an adventure! Our programs range from ages 11-20 and we are currently accepting new members from ages 11 through 15.Â
Sea Scouts is a co-ed sailing club for teens that meets year-round and costs just $30 per month. We sail, row, compete against other clubs from all over the West Coast, go on overnight trips and cruises, and learn how to maintain our antique wooden boats. We also have a new Junior Sea Scout Club for 11-13 year olds, that outrigger canoes and gets an introduction to marine subjects like tides, currents and maritime safety.Â
Parking is limited around the Sea Scout Base & Muni Pier.
You can try parking in the Fort Mason area along the path displayed. There is a nice trail that goes through Black Point and ends right at the base.
Muni has many bus lines that drop off within a very short walk to the Sea Scout Base as well.Â
